Last night the Portage County Planning and Zoning Committee meeting met for public hearing, discussion and action on the County’s Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. I am happy to announce that the Planning and Zoning Committee recommended approval of the Plan by Resolution. It will now be forwarded on to the full County Board.
Portage County Board of Supervisors will have a presentation regarding the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan on April 15th – with Action to be taken the following week – April 22nd. The County Board meetings are held at 5:00 in the County Board Chambers, Portage County County-City Building, 1516 Church Street, Stevens Point WI 54481.
Thanks for a very engaged, great discussion on lasts nights bicycle and pedestrian meeting. I am happy to announce that both our Urban and Rural Ad Hoc Committes recommened approval of the Plan to the Portage County Planning and Zoning Committee.
Planning and Zoning Committee will be meeting on March 25th with the anticipation that it will be on the April 15th County Board agenda for action/approval.

On Wednesday March 19th from 4:00 to 4:30 Portage County Planning and Zoning and Consultants from Toole Design Group will be in attendance for one last Open House to present the Final Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.
At 4:30 a joint meeting of the Urban, Rural, and Technical Ad Hoc Committees along with the Portage County Planning and Zoning Committee will be meeting with County Planning Staff and Consultants from Toole Design Group to discuss and make recommendation on the Final Plan.
