Packets for the March 6 meetings of the Portage County Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan Urban and Rural Steering Committees are now available. The packet contains the meeting agenda, a memo summarizing the agenda, draft minutes from the last meeting, and sample Safe Routes to School audit and recommendation maps.
What: A workshop to gain local knowledge and information about bicycling and walking in the area. The workshop will include group discussions targeted at specific topics related to bicycling and walking, as well as opportunities for general discussions and input about bicycling and walking.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WIDOT) and Portage County have partnered to provide a FREE “Teach Safe Bicycling” Course locally. The training will be held at the Portage County Annex Building, 1462 Strongs Ave, on Saturday May 11th , 2013. From 8:00am to 4:30pm. You can find the registration form here.
